The HVAC System Test Engineer is responsible for the development, validation, and performance optimization of automotive HVAC systems . This role involves testing, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with performance objectives and regulatory standards .
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and validate automotive HVAC systems , ensuring they meet performance objectives .
- Coordinate development efforts with Powertrain, Aero / Thermal, and Engine Cooling teams .
- Maintain and oversee the DVP&R , monitor simulation results , and analyze drive-cell and static cell test data .
- Conduct data analysis , identify issues, and implement corrective actions as required.
- Lead and support vehicle road trips for HVAC system validation.
- Preferred experience with HVAC units, ducts, A / C compressors, A / C plumbing, and HVAC controls .
- Collaborate with packaging, service, manufacturing, and engineering teams to optimize system design.
- Ensure compliance with FMVSS and program management requirements to achieve high-quality vehicle sign-off .
