Job Description :
The Weld Process Specialist is responsible for leading the concept, design, development, installation, and launch of Body-In-White (BIW) welding equipment . This role collaborates with ITC, Structure Design, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Facilities Engineering, and Plant Management to develop optimized welding solutions for vehicle production.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and implementation of BIW welding processes and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize welding solutions for production challenges.
- Train teams on welding techniques , including machine setup, advanced robot programming, and optimized welding parameters .
- Implement new technologies, equipment layouts, and design improvements to enhance quality and throughput.
- Coordinate "Best Practice" replications and process improvements through the SPW (World Class Manufacturing) process .
- Utilize data acquisition and analysis to develop strategies for improving weld quality and production efficiency .
- Ensure compliance with BIW specifications and recommend necessary updates.
- Support domestic and international plant operations with on-site process enhancements and training.
