What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial HVAC Foreman position at Altenative Creative Energy & HVAC, Inc.?
We are hiring COMMERCIAL HVAC (Sheetmetal / Refrigeration) Foreman
Job Requirements :
- Must have a valid driver’s license, MA Sheetmetal License / MA Refrigeration Technician License and OSHA-10 required (Osha 30Preferred)
- Ensure all safety procedures and quality standards are met (refer to handbook for guidance)
- Monitor schedules and attendance of crews
- The Forman will be responsible for the entire HVAC and / or Plumbing Scope-Sheetmetal, Refrigeration, Piping, Insulating, ATC, Rigging, Rental Equipment, Etc.
- Communicate and coordinate with General Contractor
- Communicate and coordinate with other trade subcontractors
- Communicate, coordinate, and supervise ACE subcontractors
- Communicate with Project Manager regularly
- Preplan 2-3 weeks in advance and manage materials and equipment. Work with Project manager to coordinate deliveries of equipment.
- Manage excess materials and coordinate returns with supply house and / or Project Manager(s)
- Work with Project Manager on RFI's and Change Orders
- Coordinate manpower, resources, and job concerns with Field Super
- Attend weekly jobsite meetings
- Train workers as needed and / or required
- Quality workmanship to avoid rework and costly mistakes
- Coach and motivate fellow employees and create a team
- Constantly assess your crew’s performance
- Turn in Daily Site Reports to Project Manager(s) and Field Super
- Turn in all job-related paperwork
- Packing slips weekly (handed in or electronically submitted)
- Toolbox talk sign offs (handed in or electronically submitted)
- Injury reports with in 24 hours of injury
- Maintain As-Builts on a daily / weekly basis and turn them in to Project Manager
- Install Labels and Tags throughout the job
- Supervisory use of all company machinery and equipment
- Secure ACE property at the end of the day
- Ensure and delegate daily cleanup
- Maintain company vehicles and gas cards
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and project documents
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and review initial job requirements and scope prior to job starting
- Ability to multitask
- Experience with management of 4-10 employees
- Coming to work everyday ONTIME and willing to work OT to get the job done
- Run refrigeration piping for mini splits, VRF systems, Condensers, etc
- Running Duct for various systems
- Testing pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks
- Testing electrical circuits or components for continuity
- Installing new HVAC equipment : Boilers, VRF, Mitusbishi units, Fan coil units, Cooling towers, Air rotation units, Rooftop units, Exhaust Fans, Baseboard, etc.
- Connecting HVAC equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant sources
- Able to read blueprints
- Assembling, positioning, and mounting HVAC equipment
- Cutting or drilling holes in buildings structure
- Cutting, grooving pipe

Pay : $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
