Some Essential Functions
- Overseeing the preparation of periodic financial statements and the corporate annual report.
- Ensuring that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Processing all Accounts Payable, Expense Reports, Payroll, and Contract Voucher(s) for the Company.
- Implementing training for Staff and identifying training opportunities for current staff.
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate records and reports.
- Analyzing financial reports concerning the current budget and prior year information.
- Auditing expenditures, ensuring compliance with the accounting procedures of the organization.
- Balancing and reconciling accounts; adjusting and correcting daily journal entries.
- Monitoring expenditures and administrative reports.
- Assisting external auditors and providing required statements and information for the annual audit.
- Assisting in center proposal process when centers are for bid
- Coordinating preparation of the corporate tax return.
- Maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Complying with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Education And Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is required.
- Three to five years of managerial experience is required.
- Experience and high level of proficiency in working with data collection systems or spreadsheets such as Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting and financial software.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from all centers and corporate departments, to ensure compliance.
