What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parent Supervisor position at Alternative Behavior Consultants?
Overview
We are looking for someone to provide supervised visitation for parents who are involved in the CYS or Court system. A positive non-judgmental attitude is a must. Requires experience working with children in some professional capacity. Applicant must pass childline, PA police, FBI clearances to work with children.
- Provide a positive and encouraging demeanor while observing the interactions between children and their parents.
- Have the initiative to intervene if topics or behavior needs to be corrected.
- Have empathy to support a parent who is struggling with engagement.
- Must have experience with Google docs/excel and computer literate.
- Must have professional writing skills.
- Must be flexible with hours available to work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children and families in various capacities, including childcare or child protective services.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively provide prompts and cues to parents.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
