Hours : Monday to Friday 8 : 30 am - 5 : 00 pm
WHO WE ARE
We are a damage recovery expert (not an insurance agency) negotiating the recovery of insurance claims on behalf of business clients in a variety of industries including rentals, loaner cars, construction, emergency response, transportation firms, municipalities, and specialty vehicles.

This is a very unique role specific to our industry. As someone with the right experience to succeed in this position, you may have held roles in the past such as Data Entry, Claims Handling, or Customer Service Representative. You are a professional with a positive and friendly attitude who is well organized and detailed oriented and has persistence and the ability to work through and solve problems. You work independently, prioritizing responsibilities, and managing your time accordingly. You have great verbal, written, and active listening skills. You are able to use logic and reasoning to identify approaches and solutions to problems.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Under general supervision, Material Damage Specialists are responsible for accurately assessing, billing, generating demand letters, and routing claims to the Damage Recovery team. Specialists are responsible for but not limited to reviewing all assigned claims, ICAR requests, Photoscope requests, and work closely with the Claims Processing team. Specialists begin the initial claims process, data entry, payment demand creation and inbound / outbound calls for insurance verification. Specialists must deliver superior client service that is courteous, accurate and prompt all while working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. Material Damage Specialists work on a team basis, prioritizing responsibilities, and manage own workload as well as assisting Team Members as needed.
HOW YOU WILL DO IT
- Maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers by returning phone calls and acknowledging correspondence in an appropriate timeframe.
- Effectively and accurately evaluate data on all new claim submissions.
- Review and audit claims that meet the criteria for the ICAR program and total loss processing.
- Order and process independent appraisals on claims that meet the criteria for the ICAR program as needed.
- Update and maintain various reports for the departments needs.
- Complete evaluations for hard hits and make judgment calls or decisions regarding billing.
- Conduct initial calls to report claims to insurance companies and confirm coverage as well as contact all parties involved to confirm damages and to verify insurance policy info.
- Process payment demands and letters to parties involved, insurance companies, attorneys, and other representatives of the involved parties.
- Document clearly and concisely all relevant activity on all files and make recommendations for additional activity as appropriate.
- Communicate and escalate claims with high degree of difficulty to Operations Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
