Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in providing support and promoting positive behavioral changes through applied behavior analysis techniques.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress for research and analysis purposes.
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Assist clients in developing social skills, communication, and daily living skills.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of special education practices and medical terminology.
- Observe client interactions and report any significant changes or concerns to the supervising BCBA.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient care standards.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collect and analyze research data effectively.
- A background in special education or related fields is a plus.
