Summary
- Read engineering blueprints, lay out metal stock, set up and operates machine tools to manufacture, fit and assembles intricate parts to fabricate and/or repair plastic injection molds, metalworking dies, fixtures and gauges.
- Apply knowledge of injection mold, tool and die design and construction, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout and assembly procedures.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, CNC machines and surface/form grinders to machine parts while verifying quality conformance to close tolerances and tight specifications.
- May assist in the training and development of others.
- May require completion of a state recognized program with usually, 5 years or more experience.
Salary : $28 - $33
