Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in an assisted living facility. The Dietary Aide will play a crucial role in supporting the dietary department by ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs. This position involves food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and assisting with meal service.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established dietary guidelines.
- Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
- Buss tables and assist residents during meal times, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring food supplies and reporting shortages.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the dietary team to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents.
- Participate in training sessions related to food safety, nutrition, and kitchen operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is a plus.
- Experience working in an assisted living or healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are essential.
