Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, assisting them with daily activities, and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work with individuals with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities and memory care challenges.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transfers as needed.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Uphold resident rights by ensuring dignity, privacy, and respect in all interactions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Sundays 2-5 pm
- Monday/tuesdays 5-9 pm
- Wednesdays 5-7 pm
- Thursday 5-9 pm
Experience
- Familiarity with medication administration practices is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Licensed and insure driver desired
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are crucial for success in this role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.75 - $19.63 per hour
