APTS® is searching for a Adapted Physical Education & Health Teacher. Monday through Friday 7:30am-3:30pm.

- Competitive salary starting at $48,000 per year. Considerations will be made based on the number of years of licensed teaching experience

APTS® offers our employees an extremely supported environment in and out of the classroom. Throughout the course of the school day, you will:
- Adapts physical education activities for the purpose of providing students with instructional materials that address IEP’s within established lesson plans
- Collaborates with instructional staff and other school personnel for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes, achieving established classroom objectives in support of the school improvement plan
- Collaborates activities with occupational and physical therapists and classroom teachers for the purpose of providing program continuity
- Assists students in maximizing their motor skills, group and individual games and skills, and overall physical fitness
- Develop activities on a weekly and monthly basis for each student based on their needs and overall goals
- Develops and obtains specialized equipment and programs for the purpose of improving the students motor skills

Qualifications:
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education.
- In lieu of a completed endorsement, a conditional license may be granted if the teacher is actively working towards completing the endorsement.
