We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Irrigation Technician to join our small, tight-knit company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in irrigation performance and maintenance. This role involves working outdoors, utilizing various power and hand tools, and applying mechanical knowledge to ensure efficient irrigation systems are maintained and working properly.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.
- Assess landscape needs to determine appropriate irrigation solutions.
- Operate power tools and hand tools effectively to complete installation tasks.
- Dig trenches for irrigation lines while ensuring minimal disruption to existing landscaping.
- Monitor and troubleshoot irrigation systems to identify issues and implement repairs.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions into overall landscape design.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including system inspections and repairs.
Experience/ Job Requirements
- Possess knowledge and experience in the servicing all types of irrigation systems
- Possess Class E Driver's license with clean record
- Be able to communicate with clients in a professional manner
- Possess DNR backflow testing license and a St. Louis County backflow testing license
- Be able to work overtime during peak seasons
- Be able to operate a tablet or laptop computer
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance
- Possess basic irrigation hand and power tools
- Experience with 2 wire irrigation systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Minimum 5 years experience preferred
