**Job Title:** Residential Instructor
Hourly Rate: $18.50-$19.85 per hour
Location: Montville, CT, USA
Job Type: Hourly, Full Time
Responsibilities:
- Monitor consumer behavior and implement programs to manage it.
- Document all shift activities and incidents in the log and on Therap.
- Provide programmatic and statistical reports as required.
- Maintain safety, appearance, and cleanliness of home. Conduct sanitation and safety inspections.
- Maintain a professional attitude with coworkers, management, outside agencies, etc.
- Know consumers' locations at all times and implement Agency policies and procedures.
- Alert personnel regarding problems or unusual occurrences. Complete incident reports in a timely manner.
- Implement and adhere to all policies, procedures, and commitments to consumers.
- Fulfill delegated responsibilities and report at staff meetings.
- Act as an advocate and role model for consumers, treating individuals with respect and dignity.
- Assist with hygiene needs for consumers.
- Document all activity pertaining to consumer welfare.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum two years experience working with developmentally disabled individuals or those dually diagnosed.
- Valid drivers license and ability to be insured by our insurance company.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to obtain certifications in CPR, First Aid, PMT, and DDS State Medication Administration.
Accountability:
The Residential Instructor is directly accountable to the Residential Manager or said other person as may be substituted for the Residential Manager.
Salary : $19 - $20
