We are currently seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team at Alternative Services Inc - Northeast. This role involves providing compassionate care and support to adults with intellectual disabilities and mental health diagnoses in residential group homes and community settings.
About the Role:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Provide emotional support and encourage independence through goal setting and skill development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement person-centered plans.
- Maintain accurate records and report any changes or concerns to supervisors.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required
- Pass a criminal history background check
- Valid Maine driver's license and insurability required for travel between locations
- Able to attend all mandatory trainings and staff meetings
