Alternatives for Girls is looking for a new member of its Fundraising Development Team! The Fund Development Manager is the wizard in charge of the CRM donor database, an essential member of our team. Our database is the key to setting and achieving organizational fundraising goals, so we are looking for someone who understands the importance of data privacy and integrity. Have a mind for numbers? We value data-driven campaign planning and rely on the Fundraising Database Manager to provide accurate information and analytics that will drive KPI’s for annual campaigns, inform board reports, budget reconciliation, and donor segmentation. Other essential duties include segmentation reports for donor stewardship programs, gift processing and acknowledgments, RSVPs and sponsorship reports for fundraising events, and some administrative support as assigned by management.
Responsibilities
· Manage the development database, maintaining accuracy, data integrity, prompt recording of charitable gifts, and execution of reports.
· Create accurate reports on pledge activity.
· Generate acknowledgments, receipts, pledge reminders, and automate correspondence as needed.
· Work in partnership with the Finance Department to reconcile transactions.
· Analyze donor and prospect data to identify actionable patterns, trends, and insights; design reports; and assist the Chief Development Officer and Funds Development Director in creating annual development plans, campaign strategies and research to support cultivation and solicitation of gifts.
· Assist with donor research and provide accurate donor profiles for major gift portfolios.
· Provide data support and information for third party events and for AFG’s signature event, Role Model Celebration.
- Record and distribute minutes for the Marketing and Fund Development Committee meetings.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed directed by Chief Development Officer and Director of Fund Development.
- Serve as a strong internal advocate for Development, Communications, Volunteer Services and Marketing.
Qualifications
• Experience as primary manager of a fundraising CRM and strong knowledge of database functions.
• Experience with Bloomerang preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to set priorities, take initiative, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, diplomacy and tact.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people while exhibiting cultural sensitivity.
• Demonstrated reliability, ability to adhere to deadlines and be punctual with tasks as assigned.
· Bachelor’s degree or relevant certificate, and three years’ experience working in a nonprofit setting.
· Strong technical skills including competency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
· Proficiency in database management, CRM systems or other fundraising/relationship management software.
· Exceptional work ethic, pleasant demeanor, well-organized and detail oriented.
