We are searching for a Crisis Stabilizer! Position starts at Part Time with the opportunity to move to full-time as the caseload increases.
Requirements
Applicants must have and maintain a valid Wisconsin driver's license, a reliable, safe vehicle, and auto insurance at agencies required limits (Bodily Injury of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident; Property Damage of $100,000; Uninsured Motorist:$100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident; Underinsured motorist: $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident.) 1-2 years of experience required.
Job Duties Include:
- Organizes, structures, schedules, and manages a caseload that includes responding to crisis situations helping to de-escalate clients while assisting families to learn the same; responding to the client’s home, school, group home and community in person and by phone. Does up to two hours of prevention time per week, per client, working on skill development and strategies to reduce crisis situations; documents all contacts and activities, on a daily basis completes all required documentation and turns in paperwork weekly; attends team, Plan of Care, staff and other meetings as necessary as well as attending monthly clinical supervision meetings.*
- Engages with clients, their families, and child and family teams to effectively develop rapport/relationships and trust to meet the individualized goals and needs of the clients and their families. *
- Connects and engages clients and families with sustainable, community resources and informal supports so that clients can continue to meet their goals and needs, once system partners are removed. *
- Implements services and maintains communication with client, collaterals, and other members of the team in a welcoming, person-centered, recovery-oriented, culturally intelligent, trauma informed way. *
- Maintains and submits accurate and timely records according to agency and contract standards, to meet daily, weekly deadlines. *
- Advocates for/with the client/caregiver regarding the client's mental health treatment needs, to promote successful outcomes. *
- Uses training received and follows all policies and procedures of the agency, contracted agencies and the IRSS department. *
- Reads and responds to APC work email daily or AT LEAST every 48 hours. Returns all phone calls, to the person that called, in an expeditious manner. *
- Continually improves skills and knowledge regarding trends and developments in the field, understanding resources in community mental health and the ability to embrace continuous change and quality improvements within the position. Keeps an open mind and remains flexible and accepts the suggestions/recommendations/reviews/evaluations of Director, Supervisors, Leads, Clinical Supervisor, Care Coordinators and other team members. *
- Assesses and problem solves challenging situations while exercising and demonstrating good discretion for the welfare and safety of all parties. *
- Incorporates ethical standards by adhering to a high level of HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, professionalism and by setting and enforcing boundaries. *
- Learns and follows all State of Wisconsin mandated reporting guidelines. *
- Independently develops a structured, time management system to accommodate client needs and other work-related requirements. *
- Possesses and demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with all service and agency related parties. *
- Promotes and demonstrates agency values while both in the community and the office. *
- Follows and adheres to all community safety practices, car safety protocol and traffic laws at all times. *
- Where applicable, learns, follows and shares knowledge of all car and booster seat laws, applicable child passenger safety information, and properly installs car seats and booster seats into vehicles. *
