Job Description

For over 40 years, Alternatives, Inc. has been dedicated to providing the best in support services to adults with Developmental / Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Illnesses. Services include Residential, Behavior Support, Support Coordination and Recreation. We have seen great growth in the past few years, which has stretched our coverage area to include Warren, Hunterdon, Morris, Union, Middlesex, Monmouth & Ocean counties. This expansion would not be possible without the dedicated staff members that make up our team.

Alternatives, Inc. in Raritan, NJ is looking to hire a full-time Occupancy Specialist . This position reports to the Director of Housing.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma
One (1) or more years' experience in leasing / occupancy management preferred

J ob duties and responsibilities :

Responsible for leasing activities and functions including but not limited to : background checks, issuing new leases, renewing current leases, lease re-certifications, tracking move in's and move out's, rent increases, collecting / refunding security deposits, monthly vouchering for subsidy, notifying tenants of annual rent increases, and troubleshooting lease issue for all agency owned / rented properties.

Coordinate and work with all funding sources regarding rental subsidies for all Agency's tenants.

Responsible for issuing notices of any violations, processing eviction notices; implementing evictions as necessary.

Conduct quarterly tenant fired drills, as necessary

Pay Rate : 21.50 / HR

In order to be eligible for employment, applicant must not have more than 5 points on their driving record and no DUIs within the last 3 years.
