Reports to : Behavioral Health Director

Status : Full-time; Exempt with benefits : Blue Cross Medical / Dental / Vision, 403(b) retirement plan, Holidays, 4 weeks Paid Time Off, 10 weeks paid Parental leave

Salary : $74,547

Our school and community-based therapy, prevention and leadership development programs support young people to individually and collectively address causes of substance abuse, grief and trauma while building social-emotional, career and social change skills.

Position Overview : The Community Wellness Manager will lead Alternatives’ services and programming for case management, trauma-informed capacity building, and physical wellness. The Community Wellness Manager will have experience managing teams, in multidisciplinary health services, and in quality assurance.

Responsibilities :

  • Recruit, hire, supervise, train, support, including monitoring and evaluation, team as assigned, along with appropriate in-service training based on their assessed needs.
  • Provide supervision, including monitoring and evaluation, to teams as assigned, along with appropriate in-service training based on their assessed needs.
  • Actively promote internal cross-collaboration between the Behavioral Health Teams and Restorative Justice Teams.
  • Stay current with trauma-informed care, behavioral health, case management, physical wellness, and capacity building best practices.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate external partnerships and relationships.
  • Administer relevant contracts including supervision of staff, agency outreach, trainings, quarterly report writing, grant reporting and presentations to market programs.
  • Support director to facilitate strategic development.
  • Serve as a member of the leadership team and other working groups as assigned.
  • Attend and actively participate in department and agency meetings.
  • Assist the Director of Programs and the Director of Finance to monitor programs and budget.
  • Manage 24 hour crisis line.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Programs.

Requirements :

  • Bachelors in Social Work or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success evaluating services and successfully operationalizing innovative programs.
  • Proficient in using technology as management reporting tool.
  • Strong project management skills working with multifaceted and complex programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in team management, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility and professional development.
  • Consistently learning and working within the following frameworks : Anti-oppression, Positive Youth Development, Trauma-informed and Balanced and Restorative Justice.
  • Skilled at working with young people at high risk for juvenile justice and child welfare system involvement.
