We are constantly expanding our travel tech expertise and are seeking a technical writer who is ready to work on the technical part of the Travel Tech knowledge framework.
AltexSoft is a technology consulting company specializing in travel tech and data services. With over 17 years of experience, AltexSoft has modernized existing solutions, improved customer experience, and helped companies in the travel industry enhance their online presence and tap into their data potential with predictive analytics and machine learning.
You will primarily focus on researching & creating internal technical materials that address the AltexSoft employees’ problems : learning needs, project improvements, etc. On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with the Center of Travel Tech Excellence, but the position also involves cross-functional collaboration with various departments within the company.
You Have
1 years of professional writing experience, as a technical writer
Basic knowledge of some programming languages, frameworks, databases
Ability to present complex information (data flow, business relations, etc.), through diagrams, and flowcharts
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work with a large amount of information
Experts interviewing skills
Proactive learning and desire to gain knowledge in the Travel technology domain
Experience in managing content in Confluence or other Knowledge (Learning) Management Systems
Demonstrated experience with tools like Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, or other presentation software to design and deliver presentations
B2-C1 level of English
Would be a plus
To have travel technology domain experience
Having experience in working with drawing software, such as draw.io, Lucidchart, Miro, etc.
You Are Going To
Research : Searching and collecting technical information about Travel Technology from primary sources : technical documentation, blogs, articles, books, etc., analyzing its relevance, and options for further practical usage, checking its credibility.
Interview : Contact and interview internal and external Travel technology domain experts : list questions, schedule meetings, conduct interviews and encourage experts to provide detailed responses and insights, transcribe and analyze results of the meeting.
Write : Based on the gathered information and conducted interviews create technical materials in the Travel technology domain for the internal Travel Tech Knowledge Base, including documentation, instructional guides, FAQ articles, and so on.
Collaborate : Work on training materials and learning programs for IT engineers alongside Centers of Travel Tech and Engineering Excellence, ranging from course architecture design to the creation of test tasks to assess knowledge.
Support : Support internal Travel tech Knowledge Base : suggest ways of improvement for repository structure : categories, labels, etc., place materials, set materials access permissions, in cooperation with IT service department resolve access requests, etc. Enhance. Suggest ways of improving knowledge management processes.
