Senior Engineering Specialist (US Citizen) - Rochester, NY

Must Haves :

• Knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620, and IPC-7711 / 7721 (certification preferred) - if not certified but has knowledge we can get them the cert
• Proven and effective communications skills and interpersonal skills are a must
• PWB level modification and build experience (SMT devices, removal, soldering)
• Fixture design and assembly (basic mechanical skills)
• Measurement of key performance parameters using analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters
• Expertise in evaluation of designs for testability; Working knowledge of the fundamentals of In-Circuit Test (ICT), functional board level testing, unit and system level testing, coverage analysis
• Microsoft Office knowledge (email, report, documentation etc.)
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work in a team, work with different engineers throughout the organization
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Technology, or 2 year degree with equivalent experience

Job Description :

The Sr. Specialist will require a solid understanding of electronics and mechanical concepts. This position will also require participating in a team environment. Routinely interacts with design engineers, manufacturing staff, management and planning. Requires the application of the principles and techniques of electrical / mechanical engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for the board level modifications, troubleshooting and testing, repairing of hardware, assembly / disassembly of equipment, and fixturing for tactical radio accessory products and accessories
