Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.
Duties
· Record payments and post them to customer accounts
· Monitor overdue invoices and escalate late payments
· Prepare check payments for vendors and subcontractors
· Reconcile AP and AR Aging accounts and support month end close process
· Support external audit when necessary
· Resolve discrepancies and payable issues with team members and vendors
· Prepare Form 1099 files and submit accurate information to recipients and IRS
· Research, analyze, and monitor expenses for financial reporting and budgeting
· Contribute to process improvement initiatives in the accounts payable function
· Assist with special projects as required
Qualifications
- Proficient understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial reports effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
