Altitude Agri Services, LLC is seeking a certified 107 UAS Pilot/Visual Observer to join our team located in Richland, Washington. At AAS, we do not just embrace innovation; we thrive on it. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct drone flights in accordance with FAA rules and regulations.
  • Follow all SOPs, verbal directives, and policies when performing daily operational duties and fully comply with federal and state regulations.
  • Capture high-quality aerial imagery and video for various applications including construction, inspections, agriculture and marketing.
  • Plan flight paths and monitor drone flights along designated paths.
  • Launch and recover drone, perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks.
  • Capture and log data for discussion with manager(s) and client(s).
  • Analyze weather forecasts to ensure safe flights.
  • Document pre- and post-flight logs.
  • Perform equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Proven experience as a drone pilot with a strong portfolio of aerial work. Note: Candidates will be asked to provide a current FAA Part 107 certificate, flight records and documentation of flight time at the time of interview.
  • Strong technical skills and familiarity with drone software and hardware.
  • Skilled in operating UAS cameras and sensors.
  • Experience with UAS remote sensing data collection and analysis.
  • Professional communication skills for interacting with clients, the public, and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate skills in leadership, operational safety, and time management.
  • Strong ability to handle sensitive information and confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • A valid driver's license is required with a clean MVR. Position requires driving a company vehicle and may entail pulling a trailer, product, supplies or equipment in a safe manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced in aerial photography, and videography.
  • Advanced knowledge and training in the use of both Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and mission planning software tools (used to support precision agriculture, search and rescue, construction, law enforcement, forestry, and myriad of other burgeoning areas).
  • Familiarity with post processing software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach outside in various terrains.
  • Must be capable of working in various ergonomic and environmental conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent eye and hand coordination.
  • Position requires you to wear personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, reflective vest, long pants, etc.
  • Must be able to fix any mechanical issues on location, which requires knowledge of common hand tools and computer software. Employer will provide some on-the-job training.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

  • Travel Requirement: Ability to travel from home base throughout our customer service area.
