Bakery Delivery Driver
Job Overview
The Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of bakery items on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading delivery vehicle and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. Must have food delivery experience and have operated a box truck. Shifts are primarily early morning. Must have weekend availability. This position is part time to start, with the potential to become full time in March - April.
Requirements
Proven experience in same or relevant role.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass company driving test, background check and drug test.
Outstanding organizational abilities.

Essential Functions
Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.
Pack and load products onto delivery vehicles.
Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes.
Maintain ongoing communication with Delivery Operations Manager.
Unload goods as per client specifications.
Review deliveries to ensure accuracy.
Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
Remains knowledgeable on products offered.
Reports to Director of Delivery Operations and Restaurant General Manager.

Education/Experience: 1 year equivalent work experience. Valid drivers license with clean driving record. Experience with food delivery and driving box truck.
Language skills: Must be capable of communicating at a professional level in English with customers and co-workers. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.
Mathematical skills: Must be capable of accurately performing financial calculations.

Must demonstrate ability to deal with unhappy customers or employees and ability to calm a confrontational situation if needed. Work Environment: Employee may spend time in a restaurant setting, but will mostly be performing duties in delivery vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical demands: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use their hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more regularly. Must be able to work at a fast pace.
Work hours: The position is estimated to be 15 - 30 hours per week. This position requires early morning availability.

Benefits and Pay
Employees are considered “full time status" if the employee consistently works over 30 hours per work week. Benefits are offered to all full time employees after 60 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision and a free life insurance policy.
