The right candidate will bring excellent customer service and appropriate skills to their role Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls. Routes calls appropriately, offering voice mail or redirection of calls as necessary.
- Greets patients and assists them as appropriate.
- Explains financial requirements to the patients or responsible parties and collects copays as required.
- Answers telephone screens calls, takes messages, and provides information.
- Obtains, verifies, and updates patient information, including insurance coverage, and provides support services to patients and medical staff.
- Requests, locates, sends and receives patient medical records.
- Schedules appointments for patients either by phone when they call or in person after an office visit.
- Ensures updates (e.g. cancellations or additions) are input daily into master schedule.
- Use customer service principles and techniques to deal with patients calmly and pleasantly.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
