Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience with installing septic systems and making repairs with sewer and septic lines. The candidate needs to be able to read and understand engineered designs, and work with others on the job.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, and dump trucks to dig, move, and grade earth materials.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery while adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations; a valid driver's license is required.
- Knowledge of tanker operations is a plus.
- Ability to operate machinery effectively.
- Experience with excavator operation and skid steer operation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of excavation techniques and safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Must be able to pass any required background checks or certifications related to heavy equipment operation.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
