Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment in various settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all audio-visual systems function seamlessly for our clients.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio-visual systems using software troubleshooting techniques.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in the installation and repair of equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and low voltage equipment safely and effectively during installations.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on audio-visual systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide field service support by responding to client requests for assistance with audio-visual setups.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement audio-visual solutions tailored to client needs.
- Document all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Audio Visual Technician or in a similar technical role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with hand tools and low voltage systems.
- Familiarity with computer hardware and software troubleshooting is essential.
- Experience with cabling techniques for various audio-visual setups.
- Ability to read schematics and understand technical diagrams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to telecommunicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed for installations or events.
