Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Middleware Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of middleware technologies, including application servers, messaging systems, and integration platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resource with strong Middleware Engineering and significant experience on automating Middleware components.
- Resource specializing in IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) administration, possessing strong automation expertise.
- This individual should have a proven track record of automating various WebSphere tasks using Jython/Python and Ansible.
- Install, configure, and maintain middleware technologies, including application servers, messaging systems, and integration platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to middleware, including performance issues, connectivity issues, and configuration issues.
- Monitor and optimize middleware performance, including monitoring system logs, performance metrics, and configuration settings.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including installation guides, configuration guides, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations teams, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of middleware solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with middleware technologies, including new releases, patches, and updates.
Requirements:
- 8 years of experience administering middleware technologies, including application servers, messaging systems, and integration platforms.
- Technical certifications, such as Oracle WebLogic Server Administration, IBM WebSphere Application Server Administration, or Apache Tomcat Administration.
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix), scripting languages (Python, Perl, shell), and middleware technologies (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
