Import Coordinator & Customs Entry Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Import Coordinator & Customs Entry Specialist to oversee the end-to-end management of ocean and air import shipments. This role involves handling everything from initial quoting to final invoicing, coordinating with carriers, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and facilitating the seamless movement of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of import regulations, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipment Management: Oversee ocean and air import shipments, including quoting, coordinating pick-ups and deliveries, and booking with carriers.
- Carrier Coordination: Arrange and confirm transportation schedules with carriers to ensure timely shipments.
- Customs Compliance: Accurately process customs clearance entries while ensuring full compliance with regulations.
- Shipment Tracking: Monitor and update shipment statuses, keeping clients informed throughout the process.
- Documentation: Prepare and verify all import documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Invoicing & Payments: Process invoices for shipments, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any shipping delays, discrepancies, or issues to maintain smooth operations.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with carriers, agents, and clients to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in ocean and air imports, customs brokerage, or a related logistics role.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of customs regulations and clearance procedures.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and deadlines efficiently.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with global partners and clients.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics software and systems for shipment tracking and documentation.
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
