Job Overview
The Domestic Air Freight Coordinator plays a critical role in our operations team by managing air shipments from pick-up to delivery. This position involves quoting, routing, rating, and monitoring shipments while maintaining regular communication with clients, carriers, and partners to ensure outstanding service and seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation and Compliance : Prepare and manage all required documents for linehaul, delivery, pickup, import / export, and customs clearance.
- Tracking and Coordination : Monitor cargo movement to ensure timely delivery while keeping clients updated on shipment status.
- Billing Accuracy : Provide accurate billing details to the accounting team.
- Client Communication : Regularly update clients on freight disposition, including tracking, dispatching, routing, and rate quotations.
- Process Improvement : Assist in developing and implementing new operational processes and evaluate their success.
- Business Development Support : Collaborate with the sales team to assess new business opportunities and assist in onboarding new clients.
- Customer Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive satisfaction and retention.
- Compliance Assurance : Ensure compliance with TSA, customs, and CTPAT regulations by exercising reasonable care and control.
- Profit Optimization : Identify the most profitable shipment methods while meeting client requirements.
- Team Collaboration : Share critical data and provide operational support to team members.
