About the Role:
The Import Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all imports comply with U.S. regulations and laws. This includes classifying goods, assessing duties and taxes, and communicating with government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classify goods using the HTS and determine applicable duties and taxes.
- Ensure compliance with CBP regulations and other government agencies.
- Communicate with importers, carriers, and government agencies to resolve entry-related issues.
- Review and process ISF filings, post-entry adjustments, and customs documentation.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in customs brokerage, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Customs Entry Writing expertise and knowledge of HTS classification.
- Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Lakewood, CA or Boise, ID.
