Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end ocean import operations, including shipment coordination, documentation, and customs clearance
- Communicate daily with overseas agents, ocean carriers, brokers, and trucking providers
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and client-specific SOPs
- Track and monitor shipments from origin to final delivery, proactively addressing delays
- Prepare and process import documentation such as ISF, arrival notices, and delivery orders
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth cargo flow
- Provide excellent customer service and timely updates to clients throughout the import process
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean import freight forwarding operations
- Strong understanding of U.S. import compliance and documentation requirements
- Familiarity with industry systems (CargoWise, Descartes, or similar platforms)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
