Regional Sales Manager – Southeast
Are you an experienced sales professional in the logistics and freight forwarding industry? A mid-sized, top 40-ranked logistics provider is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to join their growing National Sales Division. This company offers a competitive compensation structure, including an industry-leading 25% commission on new business.
About the Role:
As an RSM, you will be responsible for driving new business, managing key client relationships, and growing revenue across multiple service offerings, including import/export, air & ocean freight, customs brokerage, domestic transportation, and warehousing solutions. You’ll leverage your existing book of business and networking skills to develop and maintain strong relationships, identify new opportunities, and execute sales strategies to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a sales pipeline through your industry connections and targeted prospecting.
- Acquire new clients and maintain long-term account relationships for continued growth.
- Conduct sales visits, calls, and presentations to potential and existing customers.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize service offerings.
- Collaborate closely with operations teams to ensure seamless service execution.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and presentations.
- Utilize CRM systems to track leads, customer data, and ongoing sales activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of sales experience in the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
- A proven track record of success in sales and business development, with an established book of business.
- Strong knowledge of international and domestic transportation services.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to close deals and grow accounts.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred but not required).
