Position Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ocean Freight Operator to join our client’s team in Inglewood, Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of ocean freight operations, possess strong organizational skills, and have experience with CargoWise software. Familiarity with airfreight operations is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage end-to-end ocean freight operations, including FCL, LCL, and consolidations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in shipment processes.
- Coordinate with carriers, customers, and overseas agents to arrange bookings, track shipments, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Monitor and manage operational KPIs to maintain high service standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining proactive communication with clients.
- Utilize CargoWise for data management, documentation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with the airfreight team when needed, ensuring seamless multimodal operations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, market trends, and carrier updates.
