This role offers the opportunity to drive process optimization, troubleshoot complex challenges, and support key projects that enhance the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize chemical processes to enhance safety, productivity, and efficiency.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting process and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement improvements and best practices.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including operating procedures and process flow diagrams.
- Participate in process safety management (PSM) activities, including hazard analysis and risk assessments.
- Support capital and plant improvement projects by contributing to design, procurement, and commissioning efforts.
- Analyze process data to identify trends and recommend process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and engineering initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment preferred; internships, co-op, or other relevant experiences will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of chemical processes, process control systems, and equipment.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) principles is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen) is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
