Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Create and update drawings using MicroStation Version 8i; redrawing by hand or converting to CAD as needed.
- Maintain existing plot plans, underground, electrical, and foundation drawings with necessary corrections.
- Provide updated underground drawings to maintenance before plant site excavation.
- Support all departments with new drawings, updates, copies, and access to engineering archives.
- Keep drafting area and archive files organized, including drawing files, equipment files, and indexes.
- Maintain computerized drawing index and pipeline lists.
- Assist engineers by supplying reference drawings and creating preliminary layouts.
- Support capital projects by coordinating with outside firms, providing necessary plant documentation, and integrating final deliverables into archives.
- Assign new drawing and line numbers and track project documentation.
- Distribute updated drawings to stakeholders and update master/control room sets.
- Act as the main contact for drafting equipment (copier/plotters), ensuring functionality and supply availability.
- Serve as Record Center Manager, maintaining accurate, accessible engineering documentation.
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience with MicroStation Version 8i.
- Minimum 3 years’ drafting experience, 5 years of experience preferred.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Strong organization and record-keeping skills.
