Key Responsibilities
- Perform SMAW and GTAW welding processes on stainless and carbon steel.
- Produce high-quality welds that meet NDE (non-destructive examination) requirements.
- Weld on tanks, pressure vessels, structures, and piping systems per blueprints and metallurgy specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs to complete work accurately.
- Perform layout and preparation of materials for welding and fabrication.
- Troubleshoot and repair leaks on tanks, pumps, and process equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with industry standards.
- Willing to assist with additional maintenance tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a welder, preferably in an industrial or chemical plant setting.
- Proficiency in SMAW and GTAW welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and P&IDs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within precise tolerances.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurement and layout.
- Ability to work independently and follow established guidelines.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
