We are seeking a skilled and experienced banquet service professional to join our team at Altland House Hospitality Management Company. As a banquet server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our events by providing exceptional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time and be dressed in professional attire ready to start work.
- Check event sheets at the beginning of each shift to ensure thorough understanding of the day's events.
- Manage the setup of all events, including tables, linens, flatware, buffets, centerpieces, stations, and bars.
- Ensure the breakdown of all events is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain proper lighting and temperature levels in event spaces.
- Attend to guests' requests, questions, and concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
- Ensure that event spaces and surrounding areas remain neat and clean, including get-ready rooms and bathrooms.
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their experience.
- Monitor food and beverage quality and re-waters/refills coffee or other beverages as needed.
- Clear tables between courses and at the end of meals.
- Expedite food and beverages as required.
- Restock chafers, light sterno, replace serving utensils, and stock buffets as necessary.
- Maintain familiarity with the POS system and communicate effectively with kitchen personnel and front-of-house staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Requirements:
- 2 years of catering/banquet experience.
- RAMP certification required.
- Must be 18 years old.
- Weekend availability essential.
- Proficiency in bar knowledge and cash handling.
- Ability to carry trays weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Strong teamwork and multitasking skills.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
