Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Department: Payroll
Reports to: Director of Payroll
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Hours: Full-Time, potentially longer working hours during Spring Season.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Payroll, perform specialized and technical payroll functionalities. Efficiently assist the Payroll Department to help ensure all Payroll Data is processed accurately, and in a timely manner. This position will handle a high volume of paperwork, approximately 1000 employee records. In order to be considered for this position, you must have previous experience handling high volume paperwork, and have worked in a fast paced environment.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Tracking and processing of all court ordered wage garnishments.
- Maintain employee data in ADP Workforce Now , File Hold (Scanning Software, Wisely and E-Time.
- Process Separations in accordance with multi-state laws.
- Process W-4 and State withholding changes.
- New Hire Onboarding Administration
- Review New Hires for accuracy.
- Accurately processing of Manual checks during off cycle payroll.
- Set up Direct Deposits, carefully following the Direct Deposit verification procedure.
- Input Personnel Action forms for address changes, Vacation & Sick, Leave of Absences
- Accurately process employment verification request in a timely manner.
- Review, and prepare processed PA’s in accordance to our Company Scanning structure.
- Effectively communicate with Managers and employees.
- Answer basic employee questions regarding direct deposit set up, taxation, and other deductions from checks.
- Engage in cross training with other Payroll Specialist
- Maintains processes, and reconciles a wide variety of payroll documents and materials in compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines (e.g. timesheets, PA’s direct deposits, etc.)
- Assists in the revision and implementation of improved payroll related systems and procedures.
- Assists with numerous projects as time permits.
- Others Duties as Assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- College bachelor’s degree preferred in a related area; accounting, business or finance.
- 2-5 years of increasingly responsible experience in Payroll
- ADP Workforce Now Experience
- CPP Preferred, but not required
- V-look Up & Pivot Tables in Excel is a must
- Bilingual English/Spanish (Preferred)
