- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Medication Assistance: Assist with medication administration under the direction of a licensed nurse, ensuring accurate dosages and proper documentation.
- Patient Comfort: Ensure the comfort and safety of residents by regularly turning, positioning, and transferring them as necessary.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records, documenting care provided, changes in condition, and other relevant information.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to provide updates on resident status and address concerns.
- Assist with Therapy: Collaborate with therapists and healthcare professionals to support rehabilitation and therapy programs.
- Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Emergency Response: Act swiftly and appropriately in emergencies, following established procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Certification: Must hold a valid Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification.
- State Licensure: Current state licensure as a CNA in state of practice.
- Experience: Previous experience in adult care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
