Certified Nurse Assistant - Adult Care

Job Summary: As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in our adult care facility, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive and compassionate care to our residents. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being and comfort of our adult residents.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide basic nursing care to adult residents, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance.
• Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
• Medication Assistance: Assist with medication administration under the direction of a licensed nurse, ensuring accurate dosages and proper documentation.
• Patient Comfort: Ensure the comfort and safety of residents by regularly turning, positioning, and transferring them as necessary.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records, documenting care provided, changes in condition, and other relevant information.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to provide updates on resident status and address concerns.
• Assist with Therapy: Collaborate with therapists and healthcare professionals to support rehabilitation and therapy programs.
• Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Emergency Response: Act swiftly and appropriately in emergencies, following established procedures.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Certification: Must hold a valid Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification.
• State Licensure: Current state licensure as a CNA in state of practice.
• Experience: Previous experience in adult care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
• Compassion: Demonstrated empathy and a strong desire to provide exceptional care to adult residents.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
