Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Assessment : Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional well-being to determine their suitability for dialysis treatment and monitor their condition throughout the procedure.
- Treatment Planning : Develop individualized care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team, to address the unique needs and goals of each patient undergoing dialysis.
- Dialysis Procedures : Administer dialysis treatments, including hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, according to prescribed protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Medication Management : Administer medications, monitor their effects, and educate patients on medication management related to their renal condition.
- Vascular Access : Monitor and maintain vascular access sites, such as arteriovenous fistulas or grafts, to ensure optimal function and prevent complications.
- Patient Education : Educate patients and their families on renal disease, dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and lifestyle modifications to promote self-care and adherence to treatment plans.
