Job Description :
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our long-term care facility, you will play a vital role in the health and well-being of our residents. LPNs are responsible for assisting in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality, patient-centered care and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities :
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes to the RN or physician.Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.Ensure residents' comfort and safety at all times.Documentation :Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for residents.
Document residents' responses to treatments and medications.Report any significant changes in residents' conditions to the RN or healthcare team.Communication :Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
Provide emotional support to residents and their families.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.Safety and Compliance :Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Follow state and federal regulations and facility policies and procedures.Participate in regular training and continuing education to maintain licensure.Teamwork :Work collaboratively with RNs, CNAs, and other healthcare staff to provide holistic care.
Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.Qualifications :
Current and valid LVN license in the state of practice.CPR certification.Previous experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Compassion and dedication to providing excellent patient care.Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple tasks.Benefits :
