Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Med Surg
About the Role:
A travel nurse RN Med Surg works under the supervision of the unit Supervisor/Manager/Director, responsible for patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They direct and guide patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards and hospital policies.
Main Responsibilities:
* Identify patient needs and formulate a written care plan within 24 hours of admission.
* Implement and document the effectiveness of the care plan in the medical record.
* Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
* Promote patient independence by establishing care goals, teaching self-care skills, and ensuring quality of care.
* Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Requirements:
* Experience floating to ICU or PCU is required.
* Covid-19 vaccination is required, with exemptions allowed.
