5x8-hour Day shift Monday - Friday, 1 Weekend Day shift Per month

Prefer candidate who has 1-2 years of experience in a rural health setting but willing to look at new grads.

Requirements : Licensed with the State of Nebraska as an Occupational Therapist and Certified to administer Electrotherapeutic Agents, Deep Thermal Agents, and Superficial Thermal Agents. Active BLS issued through American Heart Association.

Shift : 8 : 00AM-5 : 00PM, with an hour lunch. Will work a weekend day once per month.

Evaluates, plans, coordinates, administers, and supervises Occupational Therapy treatments to restore functional abilities, relieve pain, and prevent or minimize disability in a timely and efficient capacity.

1. Performs and ensures safe, knowledgeable, age-specific patient care through the evaluation and assessment, treatment planning, coordination, supervision, and execution of appropriate patient specific occupational therapy services.

a. OT evaluates, plans, coordinates, administers and supervises OT treatments to restore functional abilities, relieve pain and prevent or minimize disabilities in a timely and efficient capacity following the original plan of care.

b. Patients are making progress and meeting their goals.

c. Provide services within and supervise COTAs as outlined in professional practice act and / or Medicare guidelines, whichever is most conservative as measured through quality assurance measures and peer review.

d. Safely and accurately provide OT services, using client-centered care and evidence-based practice, to clientele including, but not limited to : therapeutic exercise, splinting, modalities, and self-care training.

e. Competent in treating all age groups as demonstrated by age-specific competency testing.

2. Completes patient care documentation per hospital and professional governing bodies.

a. Completes all documentation including charges correctly (per policy) prior to leaving work for the day 85% of the time and have all documentation completely finished within 24 hours.

b. Completes all evaluations, screens, DC, re-evaluations, daily notes, supervisory visits, co-signatures, MC forms and any other required paperwork as per policy (concise, thorough, objective, accurate, include goals, problems, history, changes in status).

c. Maintains up to date soft files on all of site clientele.

3. Provides education to and communicates with patient / family, other team members, employees, caregivers, and other individuals within the patient realm of care.

4. Collaborates with other professionals appropriately, including but not limited to, physical therapy, speech therapy, technicians, nursing, and physicians.
