JOB DESCRIPTION
DISHWASHER/STEWARD
Job Purpose:
Maintains kitchen work areas, restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:
Specific Responsibilities:
- Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyer to dishwashing machine.
- Transfers clean pots, pans, utensils, china, glass and silverware to designated areas.
- Washes pots, pans and trays.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and kitchen equipment.
- Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places in designated containers.
- Breaks down cardboard.
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Washes and peels vegetables.
- Loads or unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies or food.
- Sweeps and mops walk-ins.
- Cleans carts and speed racks.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with managers, delivery drivers and coworkers.
Must have the ability to exercise good judgement independently and perform job duties with minimal supervision.
Prior experience preferred, but not necessary.
Dependable transportation to and from work is required.
Must pass background check prior to employment.
