Alto is the premier fleet & driver provider for Uber in Miami. We offer our drivers a W2 employment model complete with guaranteed hourly wages, healthcare & 401(k) benefits, and a supportive team environment. We provide you with a new-model luxury SUV for every shift and handle all fuel, maintenance, and insurance costs so you can focus on driving! Plus, our top-of-the-line in-vehicle technology keeps you safe behind the wheel.

Day in the life :

  • Come to the Alto Operations center at the start of your shift to see the team and pick up your SUV for the day
  • Hit the road and complete trips on the Uber platform
  • Return your vehicle at the end of the shift - our onsite team handles fueling, cleaning, and maintenance!
  • Earn an hourly wage, with additional peak-demand earning opportunities, and keep 100% of the tips you earn while driving.
  • Hourly rates vary by time of day and range from $13.00 to $18.00 Peak-demand times (ex : Friday & Saturday evenings) offer the highest hourly rates.
  • Earn pay raises with tenure
  • Get paid on your terms : receive weekly pay through direct deposit or choose On-Demand Pay to get paid as often as daily.

Schedule

  • Shifts : 6 to 8 hours long
  • Full-Time or Part Time Opportunities :
  • Full-Time : Scheduled 4-5 days per week
  • Part-Time : Scheduled 2-3 days per week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts based on your availability

    • Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be eligible to drive on the Uber platform :
  • Must be 25 years of age or older.
  • Valid Driver's License with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience in the United States
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and saliva drug screen.
  • A clean driving record : No more than 2 moving violations / at-fault accidents in the last 3 years.
  • No driver's license suspensions within the past 3 years.
  • No existing suspensions from the Uber platform
  • Successful completion of the Alto Driver Training Program is required
  • Fluent in English.

    • Physical Requirements

  • Able to communicate verbally and follow directions from our dispatch team.
  • Comfortable with navigational apps (e.g., Uber driver app, Google Maps, Emails, Web Browsing).
  • Capable of entering and exiting the vehicle consistently to assist customers with their luggage.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly / occasionally.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods.
