Position Overview :
Alto is looking for a Payroll Coordinator who will support our growing payroll team in leading all location / company payroll functions. This position will report to the Head of Accounting and will support execution on various Payroll and HR initiatives. This position is onsite at our LA depot from Monday through Friday.
What you'll do :
- Manage the Time and Attendance of the payroll processing for CA employees (hourly employees).
- Break management and importing
- Manual check generation
- Labor code and departmental accuracy review
- Investigation of exceptions both through system notification and time card analysis
- Review other payroll system notifications
- Maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll transactions including general payroll, taxes, and other deductions.
- Answer local LA employee payroll-related questions.
- Work cross-functionally with local HR and Operations teams to continuously improve processes.
- Continuously review laws, rules, and regulations that apply to the payroll functions and partner with other stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
- Manage timekeeping and payroll systems and assist in any system or technology implementations.
- Ensure payroll data security and reporting standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
