What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Business Manager- Student Services position at Altoona Area School District?
This position is responsible to coordinate, assist and complete accounting procedures and operations for:
· Cafeteria/enterprise fund of the school district
· Direct interaction and oversight of Child Accounting and Student Registration
· Oversight of Student Transportation Services
Provide complete and accurate records to assist management and auditors with requested information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/WORK-RELATED KNOWLEDGE
· Bachelor’s Degree required; CPA preferred.
· Minimum 5 -7 years’ knowledge of PA public school operations preferred. Experience in budget prep, fund accounting, state & federal reporting, child accounting, payroll/benefits admin., insurance. Excellent written/oral communication skills necessary. Excellent EXCEL skills required; proficient computer skills necessary.
· Knowledge of public school accounting and payroll regulations
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
· Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
