What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Altoona-Blair County Airport?
The Altoona-Blair County Airport is seeking full-time maintenance employee. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following.
Perform runway and security checks on the airfield.
Maintain and repair all airfield lighting and signs.
Maintain airport equipment.
Mow grass and trim (snow plows, loader, lawn mowers, etc.)
Police grounds for trash; maintain a neat, orderly appearance.
Maintain and repair all airport buildings and grounds.
Issue/cancel NOTAMs (Notice to Airmen) as needed and authorized.
Perform snow removal as required.
All airport service workers are required to become certified in FAA Part 139 Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting. This training will be provided by the BCAA through Pittsburgh International Airport ARFF Facility and requires a commitment of employment from the selected employee.
All employment is contingent on the passing of a drug and Alcohol test as well as a back ground check.
Rotating weekend hours required.
Starting Pay: $16 - $18/hour, depending on experience

Holiday and PTO pay.
