Assistant Dietary Manager

POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for providing an excellent dining experience for all residents and meeting their dietary requirements. Assist Dietary Manager with directing department staff to prepare meals, food orders and on-going training.
Essential functions of position:
- Run day to day operations of the kitchen and dining
- Ensure food quality, and safety standards are satisfactory
- Meet regulatory standards and survey excellence
- Maintain proper scheduling, supplies and cleanliness in the dietary department
- Work with Qualified Dietitian, and facility to ensure all therapeutically/ preferences are received
- Review Menus and food storage
- Supervise and participation in food service, including but not limited to; food preparation, food storage and cooking
- Participate in facility QA, Care Plan and leadership of facility
- Rotating weekends
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 years supervisory/managerial experience
- 1 year in Long Term Care (Preferred)
- Certified Dietary Manager preferred
