ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING
RN- Required
Altoona Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a compassionate, energetic, and talented Registered Nurse to join our team as Assistant Director of Nursing.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist with management of the Department of Nursing.
- Understanding and assist in leading the QA Process.
- Ability to communicate with Medical Director and physicians.
- Conduct Rounds and Ensure Quality Care of Residents.
- Participate in the evaluation and training of staff.
- Evaluate and take action around complaints, failed audits, and staff problems.
- Maintain and update audit, compliance and legal documentation, including analyzing patient and staff data.
- Assist with Nursing Department Scheduling.
- Take call on rotating weekends.
- May be required to cover floor nursing responsibilities occasionally.
- Educational Requirements: Currently licensed as a nurse (RN) in Iowa
Qualifications/Skills:
- Must be knowledgeable and experienced in Long Term Care.
- Experienced in Long Term Annual Survey Process.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal, organizational and communication skills. Experienced in leading a nursing team and associate development and training.
- Strong computer skills.
